                                     Steve gave me a log from his stash in Sunbury. I just skinned it

                                     and waxed it and put it on a steel rod into some stone

This is the Hepworth-esque figure that I carved out of some reclaimed

Lime wood ( I think) that I got after shortening and an old bench.

 After the carving, I waxed it. It's supported by an old steel rod 

which has a nice patina and that's waxed. The base is a bit of Merranti 

left over from some that Steve gave me about 10 years ago. I stained it 

with an oil based black green stain then, guess what?  I waxed it.

Total height is about 50cms . Price £180.00  ono

Plus about £20 postage unless you can pick it up from Conyer near Faversham Kent

 

Without the base

 I salvaged this 40cm tall piece of what I think is Lime wood from a bench that

was being shortened. It is now on its way to being a Hepworth-type sculpture.

14th September 2023, base and steel rod support on the way.
